"I have found that using various art forms has enabled me to experience myself and my history differently and engage at a deeper level with my own process. What I experienced at IATE is inspirational teaching so that I could digest and expand on my previous training and experience. Having experienced the arts and the training offered at IATE I feel hungry in my soul to learn more."

Certificate in Creativity and Imagination
"Self actualising creativeness is 'emitted' ... and hits all of life... it is emitted like sunshine; it spreads all over the place, it makes some things grow (which are growable) and is wasted on rocks and other ungrowable things." (Maslow 1962)

Course Philosophy, Aims and Objectives
This course is for anyone who wishes to become more creative in their lives. The main focus is on the imagination, and how it can inform and enliven creativity. By applying our imagination creatively, we can enhance our work, our relationships, our feelings about ourselves, and increase our enjoyment of what we do and who we are. The course is for people who are ready to take a fresh look at themselves and their world, ready to try out different ways of relating to themselves, their emotional experiences and who wish to feel more confident in allowing creative possibility into their lives. The course will be both relevant and useful in any walk of life where the capacity for vision, inspiration and wider horizons would be of benefit.
In the successful accessing and then harnessing of creativity and imagination, the course aims to offer new life skills. The emphasis is on direct experience, and on creative willingness to try out new ways of engaging with both one’s inner and outer world.
Course Content to be selected from:
