Will I get a job?

As our courses are unique, our graduates have enjoyed excellent job opportunities and have taken pioneering roles in health, education and social services. Others have chosen to set themselves up as self-employed and so work in private practice with children, adolescents, families, adults as appropriate.

Statistics show that where their emotional health is concerned people want practitioners not pills, but there are just not enough people who are trained. For example there are only around 600 child psychotherapists in the country with 30,000 children on the CAMHS waiting lists most of whom will never be seen by a trained psychotherapist of any kind.

...And in the 20 years of the life of the Institute, we can honestly say, we have never had a student complaining they can’t get work. Many students actually get snapped up on their placement and start earning in their second year of training!
