This year we have some exciting opportunities for Continuing Professional Development (with International Guest Trainers):

UPCOMING IATE CPD DAYS:
These days are aimed to further your professional development and focus on the power of the Arts in the healing process. They are mainly directed towards professionals working with adults but equally will richly inform work with children and teenagers as the Arts are a natural expression of feelings for children. We are delighted to present the most eminent speakers and clinicians in their field.
Valerie Sinason
Working with Abuse and Dissociative Disorders in Clinical Practice

Valerie Sinason is a child and adult psychoanalytic psychotherapist and adult psychoanalyst. she is Director of the Clinic for Dissociative Studies, Hon Consultant Psychotherapist for Cape Town Child Guidance Clinic and President of the Institute for Psychotherapy and Disability. She was Consultant at the Tavistock and Portman Clinics until 1998 when she left to start the Clinic for Dissociatuve Studies. She has also been a Consultant Research Psychotherapist at St Georges Hospital Medical School.
Adah Sachs
Working with Dissociative Disorders

Adah Sachs is a UKCP reg. psychoanalytic psychotherapist and a member of the Bowlby Centre. Consultant psychotherapist at the Clinic for Dissociative Studies. Worked for many years as a psychotherapist in psychiatric hospitals, with adolescents and adults, and lectures widely on dissociation, trauma and psychotherapy with adolescents. Visiting lecturer and a training supervisor at Bowlby Centre and at the Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education, and maintains a small private practice. Co-edited book Forensic Aspects of Dissociative Identity Disorder.
