Any decision made on an important issue in your training (e.g. that your therapist/supervisor/placement has been approved, a matter concerning fees, or that you have completed sufficient training hours) must be attained from a member of staff in writing. This is so that you and IATE avoid scenarios of confusion and disappointment. We will never pay heed to verbal hearsay or reports of verbal agreements such as "Tutor Y told me my supervisor I chose, not on your approved list, would be fine", "Tutor X said I would get onto the second year", "X said I don't need to change therapists". In short IATE will never accept verbal hearsay not backed up by written evidence. Any agreement must be sought in writing from a member of staff.
